Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) has sparked jubilation in
Rivers state with some f the youths declaring support for
Biafra.
Kanu was granted bail on health
condition by Justice Binta Nyako on Tuesday, April 25 and
this sparked celebration among Igbo youths around the
country.
The Punch reports that this celebration spread to the south
south especially in Rivers state where youths waved Biafra
flags in jubilation.
There was much celebration in Ada George road especially
among traders and motorists who said there was nothing
wrong with Kanu’s Biafra agitation.
Charles Uwandu who is one of the youths said: “We are
happy that Nnamdi Kanu has finally been granted bail. We
are happy because we recognise his (Kanu) fight for Igbo.
We are calling on him to continue in the struggle for Biafra.”
Another youth who simply identified himself as Okechukwu
said Kanu’s bail showed that there was hope for Biafra and
said he would continue to drink in celebration till Kanu
finally gets his release.
He said: “Kanu’s release on bail today shows that there is
hope for the Igbo; it shows there is hope for Biafra to
become a country.”
The news caused serious traffic in some areas as motorists
noted that youths celebrating on the streets slowed down
commuting.
